*Note: Audio starts at 0:43* Week 2 of Training the Twelve - this week we look at Matthew. Jesus said "Follow me" and Matthew immediately did - without hesitation. Matthew was a man who gave up wealth to follow Jesus and wasted no time introducing Jesus to those in his network - tax collectors and sinners. Like Matthew, we need to share our relationship with our Savior with the world.

In the book of Haggai, the Lord says to Israel five times to "consider your ways". They had turned away and were not interested in rebuilding the temple. We look at their process of turning back to God and how this applies in our own lives as we serve and minister. We, too, can turn from indifference and weariness to a restored and full ministry - through Christ - that is even better than what it once was!

We have options, and there are reasons, of what to prioritize to choose the best thing - sitting at the feet of Jesus and drinking in His presence and His words.

Our life and time in the wilderness is not fun but it's a precious place where God meets us, providing comfort, recovery, and restoration.
