Week 11 of our series in Jeremiah. Even as we have come to the crisis point, a second theme has been emerging - one of hope, of restoration! With everything in ruin, the hope of the Lord comes around to gather, and build, and make our way straight. Today two lawyers discuss what the New Covenant means in terms of the law and the old covenant with its conditions - how Christ's death and resurrection provided our freedom!

Week 7 of our series in Jeremiah. Today we look at a critical time in the life of Jeremiah and in the history of Judah. This fourth year of Jehoiakim is the tipping point, or dividing line, from Jeremiah's message of "repent - before it's too late!" to it actually being too late. Join us as we look back to the fourth year and see what life was like and what it means for us today.

Week 5 of our series in Jeremiah. Today we look at the times before and after Jeremiah surrounding the first wave of Judean captives (including Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) and see how God is in control and uses all the world as He wishes. Week 4 of our series in Jeremiah. There is a great gulf between boasting in self sufficiency and boasting in God; scripture from so long ago reads similar to what it would be in today's headlines - the idea that accomplishments are to be celebrated as our own rather than credited to God. This passage in Jeremiah is a striking example of the contrast between a man-centered worldview and one that is God-centered.

Week 3 of our series in Jeremiah. It's easy to think that the life of Jeremiah was so long ago and that was then and this is now but, even though the culture and technology is different, two things remain the same: humans are still humans with challenges of the flesh, and the character of God never changes, He is a just, gracious, and loving God who seeks a deeper relationship with each one of us.

Week 2 of our series in Jeremiah; as a youth Jeremiah knew his call from the Lord, to be a prophet to the nations. All through scripture there are people who had calls, or "encounters", with the living God and in every case it changed their lives. We each are called to serve. Today we look at the promises of being called and what to listen for.
