The Thirsty Soul Satisfied in God
Sun, Jul 07, 2019
by
Tim Walsh
Passage:
Psalm 63:1-11
&
John 7:37-39
Many of the Psalms were written by David and are like music from his heart in which he experiences, and we see, every emotion. In Psalm 63 David shows what comes from his heart when pressed on every side, he is: Seeking God, Satisfied in God, and Sustained by God. Listen as we hear about the circumstances surrounding this Psalm and how we can be blessed as believers as we learn from David's example of trust and joy in the Lord.

The final week of our series in The Letters of John. This week we look at 2nd and 3rd John - books that were written to dear friends, loved by John and walking in the truth. He warns them not to be deceived by false teachers and to watch out that they don't lose what they've worked for and also to continue to be generous in their treatment of traveling ministers.

Week 4 of our series in The Letters of John. John wrote the epistle of 1 John at the end of his life, as the voice of a passing generation - one who had been present for Jesus' earthly ministry. He writes 1 John to believers, that we can know we have eternal life - he writes using symbols and pictures to illustrate the truth that we are washed, sanctified, and justified.

The Letters of John
Week 3 of our series in The Letters of John. John is communicating as a father to beloved children warning about those who will try to deceive them, recognizing those who are against Christ, and encouraging the believers to be ready - to abide in Christ to keep them from falling for the antichrist's lies and turning away from Christ.

Exodus 32:7-10
Series:
The Letters of John
Week 2 of our series in The Letters of John. There is a spectrum within the body of believers in regard to sensitivity to sin; some believers are more aware of their offenses against God and some are less so. Today we look at two questions: Why should I obey? and What if I fail? What we do when no one is looking proves what we believe.

So That Our Joy May Be Complete
Sun, May 05, 2019
by
Kyle Sobus
Passage:
1 John 1:1-4
Series:
The Letters of John
Week 1 of our series in The Letters of John. Today we focus on the opening verses of 1st John, written about 50-60 years after Jesus' ascension by one of the last remaining eyewitnesses at that time of Jesus' life and ministry. These verses show us what John considered important to share with his fellow believers - testifying to the reality of Jesus, who he saw with his eyes and touched with his hands, to proclaim the eternal life through Him, that we may live in fellowship with God, His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, and each other.

Jeremiah - Prophet of Crisis and Hope
Week 16 of our series in Jeremiah. This final week of our series we recap previous weeks and look at how God fulfills His promise to rescue from exile, and restore, the nation of Israel; He does it in miraculous ways and through unlikely people like Cyrus king of Persia. Our ultimate hope is what Jeremiah hoped for, a sure hope - a future in heaven where we shall always be with the Lord!
