Week 4 of our series in Philippians. On this Mother's Day we look at Philippians Chapter 2. In previous weeks we have explored how to Be Ambassadors, Be Partners, and Be Worthy - this week we consider how to Be Unified. What can motivate us to action & obedience to God? When we are unified what do we have? What is the key ingredient to unity in the body? This key ingredient, or mindset, is lived out by our Lord Jesus Christ - join us as we understand how Jesus is our example, learned obedience, and what result comes from our heavenly Father.

As a Church we all play a role in raising the children in our fellowship. Kids don't come with an instruction manual but God has given us His Word, the Bible, as an instruction manual; the more we study the Bible the better parents we will be to our children and examples & mentors to other children. The book of Proverbs is book of biblical wisdom, particularly practical for raising children. In several passages we see how Proverbs guides and aids us in our goal to raise God-fearing Christ followers.

This final week of our series we recap previous weeks and look at how God fulfills His promise to rescue from exile, and restore, the nation of Israel; He does it in miraculous ways and through unlikely people like Cyrus king of Persia. Our ultimate hope is what Jeremiah hoped for, a sure hope - a future in heaven where we shall always be with the Lord!

Matthew chapter 10 reads like an internship description, we gain real life experience as we seek what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and understand the meaning of discipleship. To be an effective disciple we must have an earthly perspective and practice Spirit directed discernment in our Christian walk through this life.
