Join us for week 12 in our series studying the book of 1 Corinthians. This week, Easter Sunday, it is fitting that we look chapter 15 where Paul explains, among other things, the doctrine of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of the philosophy of dualism pervading the culture at the time, some were questioning if Jesus came in the flesh or just in Spirit. Paul emphatically presents the truth, the fact that Jesus came - as a man - to save the world and reconcile us to God and give us eternal life. Paul presents the facts in several ways in several ways; join us as we look at this important passage of scripture and let us glory in the Lord!

Join us for the 10th week in our series studying 1 Corinthians. Chapter 13 often is thought of as a soft, sentimental, and cozy or comforting chapter about love however, this chapter was in response to the Corinthian believers who were fighting division and confusion in the church. This is not an easy chapter, it is a tough chapter that in reality may be hard to hear and accept - it has a challenge of selflessness and a caution to believers who are prideful in what they're doing or have done. Loving others is not easy - it is a servant of the will, not a victim of emotion. This chapter confronts and humbles us and shows us what really matters to God.

Join us for the 9th week in our series studying 1 Corinthians. Corinth was a tremendous commercial center with many diverse influences. In this chapter, Paul is responding to a question asked of him and helps the Corinthian believers understand how members of the church body have different gifts as part of, and benefiting, one church body. These diverse gifts build up a unified body.

Join us for the 8th week in our series studying 1 Corinthians. In Chapter 10 Paul warns against spiritual arrogance. Redemption does not prevent future sin therefore, let anyone who thinks they stand take heed lest they fall. The fight with temptation is a close combat fight and exhausting - yet God is faithful, will provide a way out for us, and our trials can refine us and make us purer for His service.

Join us for the 7th week in our series studying 1 Corinthians. Today we expand our thoughts on Christian liberty and sanctification through Paul's letter to the Corinthian believers. Liberty in sanctification is the means by which the spiritual concepts of our salvation become real in our daily lives, the governing principle for our decisions, large and small; the means by which our faith can permeate every aspect of our lives so that we live as in the world but not of it, so that we live and die unto the Lord. Today we move through chapters 8-10 exploring the history, doctrine, and implications of this life-changing principle more fully.

Join us for the 6th week in our series studying 1 Corinthians. This week we look at Chapter 6, an important chapter containing instruction on how we should resolve conflict as believers and also how we view those with whom we are in community and how we treat them. Our mindset drives our behaviors and our perspective on our personal "rights", with both obvious and unseen consequences to relationships and lives in our community that are long-term and far reaching.

Join us for the 5th week in our series studying 1 Corinthians. As Americans we run the risk of being no different than the Corinthians with denominations dividing us like following leaders of teaching at the time Paul wrote. In chapter 4 Paul continues his encouragement of Christian maturity, service, and unity, while adding humility and other characteristics of mature Christian living.
