Join us for the 2nd week in our series on the Life and Times of Samuel. Frequent and intentional comparisons are made in these early chapters of 1 Samuel between the young Samuel, given into the care of the high priest Eli, and Eli’s two grown sons, who are working in the priesthood under Eli. God continues to be sovereign even as some turn their backs on him and others follow faithfully. Unconstrained by any human, the Lord uses decisions wise and foolish, and exults whom he wishes and destroys whom he wishes. The challenge to followers of God is to follow whole heartedly, being willing instruments of God’s work as His plans unfold.

Join us for the first week in our new series on the Life and Times of Samuel. Today we look and Hannah and reflect on the sovereignty and salvation of the Lord and what that means in our lives.

Headship is something designed by God which affects us all. Join us as we explore scriptures related to this essential discussion and consider our response in our own life as we seek to imitate the example of Jesus, who willingly submitted to God the Father.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus presents to us a new reality – one we all have to deal with, one way or another, and He does it through blessings. The blessings are not commandments, it is an announcement about what reality actually is – and He leaves it for us to respond.

We are called to live our lives in a way to show people, who don’t know the true God, who He is through our lives. We are meant to live with intentionality and to act with purpose. Today we look at the prophet Daniel, the ancient city of Colosse, and local ministry right here in Perry Hall, Maryland as examples of living with intentionality to honor and show the importance of our relationship with God to others.

Join us as we study and learn about the marriage and ministry partnership of Priscilla and Aquila and others in the New Testament. Scripture records them together and their wholehearted unity and oneness in their marriage and ministry reflects Christ and His desired oneness with us. Their relationship was radical during a time in Greek history when marriage was not typically equal and women were considered property. Their example shines for us today as we seek to minister in unity and oneness, co-heirs together of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
